Mission 2010: Did's and Didn'ts

Mission 2011 should've probably been up by now, since well, according to Mission 2010, I'd stop proctrastinating.

But obviously, THAT failed. Surprise, surprise.

So here you have a post about last year's resolutions being written a week after New Year's Day.

AIYA, typical me lah okay so LET'S GET ON WITH IT:

1. Make some friends for God's sake.

Does "boyfriend" count? :D

Rong Jiang, Eu Vern, Boon, Natalie and Fernie

Esther, Kelly, Chee Min, Rong Jiang and Fernie

And through him I got to know this bunch of people.
(Coincidentally, I met Esther years ago during the Lion's Club Youth Exchange Programme in Japan. Small world!)

Kelly, yes that's me, Kar May, Pui Ying and Lai Kuan

I also got closer to my classmates :D

Um, like I said, "closer"?

Zen

Pity we only have one more semester together though, I'M GONNA MISS YOU GUYS. :(

I've gotten a lot closer to Kelly since... actually since I met Boon. In fact, we were merely only "classmates" before that. Which doesn't really make sense but YEAH. We're real good friends now. (I... think. AM I YOUR GOOD FRIEND, KELLY? D:)

Oh hey wait I think I have an explanation for this... bizzare phenomenon.

It all started once upon a Tetrapak event... Kelly and I were working together as promoters there. That's where we got to know Boon.

In the following weeks, he took us out for a yum cha session (my first OMG yeah I know damn fail) and we drove up to Genting together!

That still doesn't really explain how we bonded...

Eh, never mind. PICTURES? :D

We job-hunted together a lot, but only got the chance to work together once - the FIFA World Cup Finals at Station 1, Bukit Tinggi.

Stephanie, Kelly

Speaking of work, there's where I met lots of new people:

Vincy, Ivyz, Kelly

Will, Kimberly, Chui Nee, Gena, Faisal, John

Awesome, awesome people. One of my first jobs, still one of the best experiences thus far. :)

Ellie, my partner in potato-chip-and-chocolate crime for 4 days at Defence Services Asia 2010.

Felicia

Tiong and I in our soya bean shirts woohoo!

Michelle, Sandra and Arina. These girls made the tiring and sweltering Seventeen magazine shoot in NON-AIR CONDITIONED Zouk so much less uncomfortable, and so much more enjoyable :P (My pictures were kinda meh by the way...)

Vick and Lienn.

I whipped out my camera. Lienn understood. Vick simply obliged.

We're so Volkswagen enough. :P

Ilinca and Peggie.

What was that resolution again?

1. Make some friends for God's sake.

Made. :)

2. Stop being selfish please!

I think I kinda failed this one. Boon complains that I "always want to talk about yourself, your projects, your day, your assignments, your cat, your period..."

THEN AGAIN, maybe I was selfish-er in 2009? HOW DO YOU DETERMINE THE DEGREE OF ONE'S SELFISHNESS ANYWAY.

I guess this resolution is invalid. HAHAHAHHA. Sorry lah it was my first time making resolutions! ._.

3. Earn at least RM1000.

Yeah, oh YEAH. UH HUH.

Totally OWNED it. (special emphasis on the "OWNED", you gotta say it like "OOOUUWNED!". Yeh like that.)

I don't mean to boast but... (okay maybe I do)

RM7820 does NOT include...

Highlight of my 2010. :D :D :D

Anyway, EARNINGS is one thing. SAVINGS is another.

This is really embarrassing to say but, my JDA winnings aside, I saved NOTHING. (cue disappointed "awwww" from the audience. Y'know like when a contestant loses a shitload of money on a game show?)

N O T H I N G.

Okay next resolution.

4. Please stop procrastinating, seriously.
GET WORK DONE AT LEAST 1 DAY BEFORE DEADLINE.

HEY.

YOU KNOW WHAT?

I actually DID it.

... once.

It was my Final Project's second Interim Presentation. I got my boards done and printed on FRIDAY morning. Presentation was on Saturday. I spent the whole Friday just chilling HAHA. Totally awesome. Should do it more often. ._.

5. Be more responsible.

Though, like resolution number 2, there's no Scale of Responsibility I can measure myself on, my MOM did comment that I'm more responsible now. :D :D :D

WIN.

6. Play more piano and guitar.

FAIL. 'Nuff said.

7. Drive more than 5km UNSUPERVISED.

Just when you all thought I'd FAILED...

YOU WERE WRONG.

I did it on NEW YEAR'S FRIGGIN EVE! 8KM!

BOOYAH!
(Yes I do realize 8KM unsupervised in an entire year is hardly anything to be proud of in fact it's actually really really pathetic but LEMME HAVE MY MOMENT WILL YA)

8. Reverse park successfully. With only ONE vacant parking lot.

I did it with TWO lots. On my FIRST attempt too.

... That makes this a half-success right?
D:

(If you're wondering when, yup, you guessed it, on New Year's Eve as well. .___.)

9. Make that damn dental appointment (due April 2007).

All I had to do was get the orthodontist's phone number from someone, and make a simple call.

STILL, I had to wait till December 23rd to do it.

"Hi, I'd like to make an appointment for a follow-up check?"

"May I know when was the last time you came?"

"Um, a really long time ago, I can't remember. ... 2007?"

"... It's okay. When would you like to come?"

"When's the earliest slot available?"

"25th January 2011."

... Anyway point is it's finally DONE.

10. Sleep before 12 (at least 300 days of the year).

I gave up on this one a long, long time ago.

VERDICT:
UM.... NOT BAD WHAAAAT.

What say you? :O

PS. HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR! :D
