Yes.

Brenda Chan Qing Wen, 20, FEMALE, Malaysian, living in PETALING JAYA,
has never been to Sungei Wang.
Brenda - Before Sungei Wang.
I know right.
BUT WAIT,
Correction: HAD never been to Sungei Wang...
until last Saturday.
Brenda - AFTER Sungei Wang.
(Okay that's just bull. It's a random picture I took off her Facebook)
Well before you start throwing tomatoes and cereal at her, let me just say that my first time in Sungei Wang was just last year, and last Saturday was the first time I'd THOROUGHLY shopped there.
By "thoroughly" I mean walking into almost EVERY shop in Sungei Wang's fashion section's 2 floors. During my previous (less than five) visits, I'd always had to rush off somewhere after an hour or two.
Guys will tell you:
"Isn't an hour or two MORE THAN ENOUGH?"

But of course, we don't expect you boys to understand that
NO. OF COURSE TWO HOURS IS *NOT* ENOUGH.
Brenda and I spent almost 5 hours there that day. And that doesn't even include dinner.
Anyway, back to our "thorough" Sungei Wang shopping experience:
My God, the clothes were CHEAP. Faux satin cocktail dresses costing RM25 each?! Tell me HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE. Okay fine that red dress will probably turn pink after washing but still. RM25!
Countless shops sporting banners that read "RM25 STOREWIDE", carrying shorts, skirts, dresses, tops, jackets, cardigans.
But after you take a closer look at the stuff they're selling, you get really bummed. 'Cause more often than not, they're all FREE-SIZED. And if you're petite like Brenda and I, well yeah sorry I guess 70% of the clothes in Sungei Wang are just not gonna fit you.
But but but but, you won't know FOR SURE until you TRY it, right?
Well here's the next thing that sucks:
NO. TRYING.
Oh I swear those are the 2 words that annoyed us most in Sungei Wang. And the shopkeepers loooove saying that. :D
If the clothes are free-sized, fine, whatever. But even the stuff with SIZES have a no trying policy. Then what if I buy the WRONG size, HOW?
"Oh, you can go to the toilet and try it on. If it doesn't fit you can just bring it back to change lah."

Seriously wouldn't letting us try it on for size in the first place be so much easier?
Oh, wait. Then if neither sizes will fit us/look nice on us, we won't buy it and you won't get to make a sale. I SEE IT NOW. YOU EVIL MONEY-MINDED PEOPLE.
Maybe next time I'll "accidentally" drop it on the toilet floor before exchanging...
By now, you should be expecting to see PICTURES. Um well, you see, Brenda and I were sooooo busy shopping that we didn't take any pictures.
So, to compensate for that, here are the OTHER times that we went shopping:
Shopping for plushies!
Shopping for bags!
Shopping for electric guitars!
Shopping for... quilted thongs?
Shopping for... kitchen cabinets?
Shopping for TANKS WOOHOO WORLD DOMINATION YEAH!
So...
SPOILS:
Mock-denim cotton pinafore - RM59.90
Grey cotton miniskirt - RM25.00
Khaki shorts - RM26.90
Total: RM111.80
Brown weaved belt - RM17.90
Total: RM129.70
4 items for under RM150!
FRIGGIN' GOOD BUYS OR WHAT.

Usually this would be the part where I feel over the moon for money well spent.
... and then I go and spoil it all by buying something stupid like
a pair of Vincci wedges.
RM103.20
TOTAL: RM232.90
Don't look at me like that.
